Job Summary

The Field Sales Agent is responsible for promoting and driving adoption of the Veend “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) product at assigned retail partner locations (e.g., 3CHUB, Cash & Carry outlets in Lagos).
The role involves engaging walk-in customers, educating them about BNPL benefits, facilitating sign-ups, and ensuring transactions are accurately processed, while achieving defined sales and loan performance targets.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Conversion

Approach and engage walk-in customers to promote the BNPL product.

Educate customers on how to “Shop Now, Pay Later” via salary deduction and partner financing.

Convert at least 25 new customers per week.

Achieve a defined monthly GMV target of ₦5 million per store.

2. Product Education

Clearly explain BNPL repayment terms, benefits, and eligibility criteria.

Ensure customers understand all onboarding requirements (ID, BVN, and verification steps).

Support customers through sign-up and their first BNPL transaction.

3. Sales Activation

Log all successful BNPL sales in the system same day.

Coordinate with store cashiers or attendants to ensure correct BNPL payment processing.

Track pending or incomplete transactions and follow up to ensure closure.

4. Customer Experience & Retention

Deliver excellent customer service to encourage repeat BNPL usage.

Gather and document customer feedback and report recurring complaints.

Promote referrals by encouraging satisfied customers to recommend BNPL to others.

5. Reporting & Performance Tracking

Submit daily reports capturing:

Walk-in customers engaged

Leads generated

Transactions completed

Total GMV generated

Report any store, merchant, or customer issues promptly.

Achieve the following performance metrics (OKRs):

Average of 10 loans daily

Minimum ₦400,000 average principal per loan

≥80% of walk-in customers introduced to BNPL options

Completion of all Veend BNPL product trainings

Submit at least one feedback insight monthly



Requirements
  • Minimum of OND / NCE / HND / B.Sc. in any discipline (Business, Marketing, or related fields preferred).
  • 1–2 years’ experience in field sales, retail marketing, or financial product promotion.
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of digital payment systems or financial services.
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and result-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Lagos retail outlets (e.g., 3CHUB, Cash & Carry, Slot, etc.) is an advantage.

 

Compensation

Commission: 0.3% on the total amount financed per customer.

Additional performance bonuses may apply based on loan conversion and GMV targets.
