We are looking for a highly strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager – Upstream & Downstream to spearhead our growth initiatives, expand our market presence, and strengthen key partnerships across the oil and gas value chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving business opportunities in exploration, production, refining, distribution, and marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across upstream and downstream sectors.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to guide strategy.
• Build and manage strong relationships with government agencies, operators, contractors, and financial institutions.
• Drive the full business development cycle – from opportunity sourcing and proposal development to negotiations and contract execution.
• Lead revenue growth initiatives and deliver on agreed business targets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (technical, legal, finance) to ensure compliance, risk management, and project feasibility.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements.
• Track, analyze, and report on performance, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Petroleum Economics, or related fields (MBA is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 7 years’ proven experience in business development within the Oil & Gas sector (upstream).
• Deep knowledge of Nigerian and international oil & gas markets, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends.
• Strong track record in closing high-value deals and managing large-scale projects.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate risks and financial viability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
