Woodland Nigeria Limited, a leading player in the agro-allied and manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Finance Manager to lead and optimize its financial operations. This is a critical leadership role for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in cost accounting, financial strategy, and manufacturing operations.
.1. Financial Strategy & Business Support
Develop and execute financial strategies to boost profitability and enhance operational efficiency.
Create cost control models for timber and building board production to reduce cost of sales and increase gross margin by 30%.
Offer strategic financial insights to drive informed decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
2. Financial Planning, Control & Reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure sustainable financial health.
Establish and manage cost accounting systems to accurately track production expenses.
Develop and implement financial reporting structures to ensure timely, accurate financial and operational reports.
Perform variance analysis and monitor performance against budget and forecasts.
Implement robust risk management and internal control frameworks, including fraud prevention mechanisms.
3. Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to all local accounting, tax, and HR regulations.
Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Oversee corporate governance compliance including statutory financial reporting and tax filings.
4. Cost Management & Efficiency Optimisation
Partner with the production team to control costs and enhance manufacturing productivity.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce material waste through process analysis.
Enforce a strict “no-cash policy” to bolster financial discipline and security.
Minimum of 8 years of senior financial management experience, ideally in a manufacturing or large-scale business.
Expertise in cost accounting, financial control, and performance analysis.
Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial reporting.
Solid understanding of manufacturing cost structures and operational finance.
Proven leadership and team management skills, especially within African business environments.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Advanced knowledge of IPO readiness, corporate finance, and capital-raising strategies.
Relevant professional certifications: ACCA, ICAN, CIMA, or CFA (highly preferred).
