Responsible for collating, tracking, monitoring and reporting intelligence on all major activities and projects in the downstream sector of the industry and developing a strategy for the company to partake in identified and viable opportunities.
.• Responsible for collating, tracking, monitoring and reporting intelligence on all major activities and projects in the downstream sector of the industry and developing a strategy for the company to partake in identified and viable opportunities.
• Responsible for monitoring of NIPEX portal on a daily basis.
• Responsible for putting together bids and tenders with IOCs, NNPC and major marketers.
• Ensuring company’s growth objectives are attained; articulating new business development opportunities and identifying, negotiating and managing relationships with OEMs and technical partners in line with corporate goals.
• Timely conversion of Request for Quotes (RFQs) to Purchase Orders (POs).
• Processing POs to agreed scope.
• Act as a liaison officer between the company and other key agencies in the upstream industry such as NAPIMS, NIPEX, NPDC, DPR etc.
• Identify prospects and develop sales strategies to penetrate and get new accounts. This includes preparation of presentations and tenders.
• Responsible for registrations with all relevant bodies for Upstream business activities and ensure renewals as at when due.
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field, Finance/Business Administration or related disciplines. A Masters degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory or managerial position in Upstream business development.
• Well experienced in entire value chain of bid/ tenders process.
• Good working knowledge of the upstream sector of the Oil and Gas industry.
• Good computer skill, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Practical Knowledge of the activities in the upstream sector of the industry.
• Ability to influence and convince.
