Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services is conducted efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role involves liaising with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities.

Responsibilities
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any deviations from agreed-upon terms.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions.


Requirements

 

  •  HND OR BSC  in any course.
  •  Must be skilled in managing procurement processes
  • Proven experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position(2-3years)    
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement software
