Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Relationship Manager to acquire, manage, and grow a profitable client portfolio for our organisation. The ideal candidate must possess strong commercial banking experience with solid expertise in credit analysis, deposit mobilisation, risk assessment, and client relationship development.

The Relationship Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional financial advisory services, customer satisfaction, and sustainable revenue growth. This role is strictly for a target-oriented professional with a deep understanding of banking operations and the ability to deliver measurable results in a competitive market.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years proven experience as a Relationship Manager in a commercial bank (strict requirement).
  • Strong knowledge of credit processes, financial analysis, and loan documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability in deposit mobilisation and client acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with targets and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professional, confident, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic banking software.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.


Requirements
  • Acquire new customers and manage existing client relationships to drive portfolio growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet deposit, loan, and revenue targets.
  • Conduct financial assessments, credit analysis, and prepare detailed credit proposals.
  • Provide advisory services and customised financial solutions to retail and corporate clients.
  • Cross-sell banking products, including loans, investment options, and digital banking solutions.
  • Monitor client accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk policies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards to ensure strong client retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations) for seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory and internal banking procedures.
