The Relationship Manager will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a profitable client portfolio for the organisation. Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers and manage existing client relationships to drive portfolio growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve deposit, loan, and revenue targets.
- Conduct financial assessment, credit analysis, and prepare credit proposals for loan requests.
- Provide advisory services and tailored financial solutions to retail and corporate clients.
- Cross-sell banking products and services such as loans, investment packages, and digital banking tools.
- Monitor and review client accounts to ensure compliance with credit policies and risk standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.
- Resolve client inquiries promptly and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Create weekly and monthly performance reports for management.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards to ensure long-term client loyalty.
- Work closely with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure full adherence to regulatory and internal banking policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3–6 years proven experience working in a commercial bank as a Relationship Manager (STRICT requirement).
- Strong understanding of credit processes, financial analysis, and loan documentation.
- Proven ability in deposit mobilisation and client acquisition.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with targets and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional, confident, and customer-focused.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic banking software tools.
