Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Business Development Executive with strong industry experience in chemicals, paints, coatings, or related manufacturing sectors.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term client relationships within industrial and commercial markets. This role requires deep knowledge of the industry value chain, strong B2B sales expertise, and the ability to identify and convert strategic opportunities into measurable business results.

Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across industrial sectors including chemicals, paints, coatings, manufacturing, and construction.
  • Drive revenue generation through strategic sales planning and market penetration.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to increase market share and customer acquisition.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients such as distributors, contractors, manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
  • Manage existing accounts while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored product or solution recommendations.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term retention.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing structures, and competitor activities.
  • Monitor developments within the chemical and industrial product landscape.
  • Provide strategic insights to support product positioning and business expansion.
  • Identify new markets, sectors, and applications for growth.

4. Commercial & Technical Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, procurement, finance) to deliver seamless client solutions.
  • Support product presentations, technical discussions, and solution-based selling.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, pricing models, and commercial agreements.

5. Reporting & Performance Management

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline tracking, and client interactions.
  • Provide periodic reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.


Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in sales, business development, or commercial management are an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–7 years experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management within:
    • Chemicals
    • Paints & coatings
    • Industrial products
    • Construction chemicals or related sectors
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing new business.
  • Experience working with industrial clients such as manufacturers, contractors, distributors, or procurement teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the chemical/paint industry
  • Excellent B2B sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship management and client engagement ability
  • High level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Ability to understand technical products and translate into business value
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
